🎧 HEADSET, SOUND OR MIC ISSUES
If your headset or mic no longer works properly with the Cronus Zen, the procedure depends on your console.
🟢 ON XBOX
CONNECTION ORDER:
HEADSET → CONTROLLER → CRONUS ZEN → XBOX
1. First, plug your headset directly into your Xbox controller. 2. With the headset already connected, plug the controller into the Cronus Zen. 3. The Cronus Zen itself must be connected to the Xbox. 4. Once everything is plugged in, check that your Cronus Zen is showing the “ZEN” screen. 5. Give the button on the underside of the Cronus Zen one short, quick press.
⚠️ WARNING: don't hold the button down: a single quick click is enough.
The Cronus, the controller and the connection restart together. This often brings back the sound and / or the mic.
🔵 ON PS5
The key point: connect the headset BEFORE doing the PS5 bypass.
1. Plug your headset into the controller. 2. Check that it's properly connected. 3. Then do the usual PS5 bypass procedure, with the headset already plugged into the controller.

❗ IMPORTANT: if you only plug in the headset after the bypass, the sound or the mic may not work properly.
🔧 STILL HAVING THE PROBLEM?
If the headset or mic still doesn't work with the Cronus after all this, you can avoid routing the sound and mic through the controller entirely. Two options:
- Plug the headset directly into the console, for example with a jack-to-USB adapter compatible with your console and your headset (€2 to €3 online). - Use a compatible wireless headset that connects directly to your console, without going through the controller (Bluetooth headset).
That way, the sound no longer goes through the controller connected to the Cronus Zen.
📌 REMEMBER: Xbox: headset → controller → Cronus → Xbox, then one quick click on the button under the Zen when it shows “ZEN”. PS5: the headset must be plugged into the controller before the bypass.
Frequently asked questions
I've lost sound or mic with the Cronus Zen on Xbox, what should I do?
Plug things in this order: headset → controller → Cronus Zen → Xbox. When the Cronus shows the ZEN screen, give the button underneath one short press: everything restarts and the sound often comes back.
Do I need to hold the button under the Cronus Zen?
