Per-weapon anti-recoil

Back to the JAGUAR guide

This menu sets the vertical and horizontal recoil compensation for one specific weapon (and its current version, with or without attachment), unlike general anti-recoil, which applies to all weapons.

OPENING AND CONTROLS

In game, hold L2 / LT and press PS / XBOX: the setting opens directly for the weapon, with or without attachment (NONE / WITH).

- LEFT: go to the VERTICAL setting. - RIGHT: go to the HORIZONTAL setting. - UP / DOWN: adjust the value (hold = fast scroll). - CROSS: open the PHASES setting (see below). - CIRCLE: exit and save.

TUNING BY PHASES

🎯 WHY?

A weapon's recoil isn't constant: it kicks up hard on the first bullets, settles down, then drifts to the sides. The vertical / horizontal setting above applies to the whole recoil at once: if you lower the vertical, you lower it from start to finish.

PHASES split the weapon's recoil into 5 successive slices that you tune independently. You fix only the moment that's causing trouble, without touching the rest.

📝 EXAMPLE: your M15 MOD pulls too far right after about 2.5 seconds, but the rest of the spray is perfect: adjust only PHASE 4, and leave phases 1 to 3 and 5 as they are.

PHASE SETTINGS SCREEN

🎮 OPENING

From the per-weapon anti-recoil menu, press CROSS. PHASE 1 is displayed.

⚙️ CONTROLS

- RIGHT / LEFT: change phase (1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5, looping). - Hold L2 / LT + UP / DOWN: set the vertical value for the phase shown. - Hold L2 / LT + RIGHT / LEFT: set the horizontal value for the phase shown. - CIRCLE / B: go back to the per-weapon anti-recoil menu.

💡 TIP: without L2, the arrows change phase; with L2, they adjust the values. That's the only thing you need to remember.

🎯 WHAT YOU SEE

- At the top: the phase you're tuning. - Top right: with or without attachment. - V (vertical): a positive value compensates more downward, a negative value reduces compensation. - H (horizontal): a positive value shifts to the right, a negative value to the left. - Range: −49 to +49. A value of 0 means no correction on that phase.

(#ff5a6a:❗ IMPORTANT: phases are tied to the weapon's version (NONE / WITH). Each weapon has 5 phases for each of its 2 versions, so 10 independent settings per weapon. What you set in NONE only applies in NONE, because recoil doesn't feel the same depending on attachments. Always check the indicator at the top right of the screen before tuning.)

RECOMMENDED METHOD

1. Go to the firing range with your weapon. 2. Empty a mag aiming at a wall and watch when the spray starts to go off. 3. Spot the zone: start of the spray → PHASE 1 · middle → PHASE 3 · end → PHASE 5. 4. Adjust 1 step at a time, fire another spray, refine. 5. Only change one phase at a time, otherwise you won't know what caused the change.

(#ff5a6a:❗ IMPORTANT: switch to OFF ENNEMI (enemy) if you're shooting at a wall.)

Settings are saved automatically as soon as you change them.

⚠️ WARNING: phases are added on top of the weapon's vertical / horizontal setting. Set the weapon's overall compensation first, then fine-tune with phases if needed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open per-weapon anti-recoil during a match?

Hold L2 / LT and press PS / XBOX: the setting opens directly on the selected weapon, in its NONE or WITH version.

What are phases for?

They split the weapon's recoil into slices, from the start to the end of the spray. You fix only the moment that's causing trouble, without touching the rest.

The arrows change phase instead of adjusting the value, is that normal?

Yes: without L2 / LT, the arrows change phase. Hold L2 / LT, then use UP / DOWN for vertical and RIGHT / LEFT for horizontal.

How do I test my recoil properly?

At the firing range, aim at a wall and empty a mag with the right NONE or WITH version, in OFF ENNEMI. Set the weapon's vertical and horizontal first, then one phase at a time.
